Last week we had a great bunch of fishermen in. Walleye fishing has been tremendous with numerous 20″and up fish being released. The largest Walleye caught and released was 28 1/2″.
Brian Walker was the luckiest fisherman in the bunch on Wabaskang at Sleepy Dog Cabins. I’m not sure that he was prepared for the excitement he was about to have when he hooked on to this catch of a lifetime. After an one hour of skillfull handling he successfully landed a 36 pound muskie, assisted by his brother and onlookers with the right size net. He had it weighed and released as fast as possible to ensure its health. He was jigging for Bass in secret hole number 7. Brian will probably not have to relinquish the Muskie pin for quite some time.
