Cabin 5 In Winter

This winter has brought us some wonderful white scenes with hoar frost that lasted for 3 full days.  As  2011 begins we are experiencing traditional frigid temperatures.  We passed on the official opening day of Lake Trout season due to bitter cold,  choosing to keep warm by the fire with coffee and Baileys.  Are we getting soft………

We are getting cabin fever and it’s only 35 degrees here im Missouri, We are meeting this Sunday at the “Canada Show” (just to get together, drink our traditional “LaBatts Blue” and walleye and to get a head count to see who is going to be in our group in June. It sounds like Kurt can’t make it. But our “Drinking” cabin is on-board We will have a beer for you and talk “fishing”

    See you in June

  2. No, just older and wiser. The trout will still be there when it warms up a bit. ;-)

  3. I would have liked to have been there, but then I can drink Baileys in the summer, too.

  4. A beautiful view albit a bone-cold winter at Sleepy Dog. The birch trees look like they came out of a painting. Mary Ann & I are near Destin, FL and it was 66 degrees today !
