Wow, I got to go fishing!!!

Most times I am the dear one who stays in and keeps the home fires burning.

Yesterday , however, I bicycled to Dutchie’s Store and got myself a 2014 Conservation Fishing License!!! Yeh me!!

AAAnnnd last evening I went out Walleye fishing.  What great fun.  A wonderful couple staying in Cabin 4,  Brian and Judy, took me out.  Not that I couldn’t go out myself,  it’s just so many other things call me, so to speak.

Has this been happening to you?  Seriously, I thought I had too much to do and wasn’t even wanting to go after the invite.

I am so glad I took that time.  Drifting in a boat and casting is so calming and rejuvenating.   It’s actually amazing.

So was the 23″ Walleye and then the 24″ Walleye  I caught and threw back.  I sure enjoyed releasing such beautiful specimens of fish.  We also caught our limits of  tasty eaters.

I am going again soon!!!!

  1. We had so much fun! It’s so easy to throw the big ones back when you know there are so many more out there!

We can hardly believe that there wasn’t a day that we didn’t catch forty walleye and like amount of northern! Some as big as 36″ We had bigger on but 8# line would not stand the strain! One of the days we got into two big schools of walley and I know we broke the 100 walleye day!

So glad We could talk you into taking an evening off to play!

We wish we could have stayed for ever!
