Well, how do I start something as important as this blog. I’ll start with an apology for the tardiness in writing it. An historic event took place at Wabaskang Lake in July of this year. A good friend who spent many summers of his youth here, came back from his busy life in Indianna to wed his longtime love. It was a beautiful sunny day on a rocky point under the watchful eye of Big Nose Island. The ceremony was touching and filled with the positive energy of Brian and Rhonda. As well as his blessing, the minister gave them solid advice on using 8 pound mono as opposed to 6 lb spider wire, on the boat ride home. Rhonda quickly proved to her new husband that he had some serious fishing competition as she caught her limit of nice eating size Walleye before he could get the stars out of his eyes. Brian now has to keep her out of Cabela’s and Bass Pro where she will be checking out the new pink reels with titanium drag. We love them both, feel privileged to have been part of their special day and wish them well in their lifelong commitment to each other.
