Kirk Kinnison caught and released this beauitful 12 pound lake trout last evening while jigging for walleye at the first narrows. He was using a 3/8 oz. gold jig tipped with a small minnow. Walleye’s and all other species continue to feed in the shallows as water temperatures remain colder then normal. Last week was excellent for the hardy fishermen. Pat McDonaugh and his fishing friends spent many hours on the water in some adverse weather and outfished every body in camp again. My hats off to these guys. Even “softy” from Las Vegas had a great time after we thawed him out and equipped him properly.
Warmer weather is coming but not much of it this week from the looks of the forecast.

Great Job Kirk…
Kirk is a great fisherman. Don’t think you novice anglers can replicate this feat!
